About

I don’t get why biographies are usually in the third person.

I’m Maximilian Weylandt. I hail from Windhoek, Namibia.

At the moment, I am doing an MPhil Development studies at the University of Oxford. For the last three months I was home in Namibia, where I was researching the upcoming national elections, particular opposition party behavior and performance. Before that I got a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Dickinson College in the U.S.

I also write. I stick with the one that’s more a craft, non-fiction. This blog isn’t really for writing or commentary; it’s intended to be a repository of interesting articles/thoughts I find around. Though I will post some of my writing because why not.

If you see something that blows your mind – on whatever topic, in whatever realm – send it my way please. I love new stuff.
